Ethnic cultural festival to kick off

The Thai ethnic cultural festival themed “Preserving and promoting cultural identities of the Thai ethnic minority group in the country’s renewal and integration process” will be held in Lai Chau provine in mid-December.
The festival is expected to draw the participation of 8 provinces: Lai Chau, Dien Bien, Hoa Binh, Son La, Lao Cai, Yen Bai, Nghe An and Thanh Hoa.
 

 
To boost tourism and the Thai ethnic minority group’s cultural heritage, diverse cultural activities will be organised including art and culture exchanges, sports games, as well as exhibitions.
The event aims at honouring the culture of Thai ethnic community and improving the awareness of local authorities and residents about preserving and developing Vietnamese culture.
