Enchanting beauty of changing foliage in Hanoi
Jenna Duong - Duy Khanh 08:05, 2024/03/13
With its romantic scenery and cool weather, spring in Hanoi is sure to win the heart of any visitor to the city.

Hanoi's iconic loc vung tree, or Barringtonia acutangula, is about to enter its annual leaf-changing season, creating a beautiful display of nature in the streets.

Although Vietnam's capital is beautiful all year round, spring and autumn are considered the most beautiful seasons because of the rows of green trees that are about to change color.

At the end of spring, the whole city becomes poetic, fascinated, and enchanted by loc vung leaves. Its yellow leaves contrast with other lush trees in Hanoi’s Old Quarter.

Let's come and enjoy the wonderful moment because these photogenic scenes only last for about two weeks.

These beautiful yellow leaves will soon fall and then the first green buds will appear.
The only yellow leaf left on the branch looks like a small dot in the sky.
The whole area is bathed in stunning color as the leaves of loc vung change from yellow to red and green.
The tree also spreads a carpet of its yellow leaves on the pavement.
Young Hanoians love to take snapshots with loc vung tree during the leaf-changing season.

Both the legendary lake and the tree are said to be as old as the city of Hanoi itself.
