Denmark shares experience in sustainable city with Vietnam
As a country with numerous experience in this field, Denmark will support Vietnam in the process of building and developing sustainable cities.
“Danish Week – Sustainable City Solutions” is being held in Hanoi and Ho Chi Minh City from November 26 to 30 to provide Vietnam with Denmark’s experience in sustainable city.

During the seminars, Danish and Vietnamese experts will share experiences, learned lessons and best practices in urban planning solutions and policies.
In addition, students in Hanoi and Ho Chi Minh City will have the opportunity to attend the master class of famous Danish architects.
In Vietnam, sustainable development is one of the fundamental components of reforming economic growth model. The central and local governments are seeking to build smart and sustainable cities.
To achieve this goal, it is indispensable to learn from the leading countries in the field around the world. This is also a way to accelerate the process of sustainable urban construction, saving utmost cost and resources in Vietnam. This is also the content that the seminars in "Danish Week - Sustainable City Solutions" will focus on.
The highlight of the event will be a seminar held in Ho Chi Minh City on November 29, which will be attended by Prof. Dr. Tom Nielsen from the Aarhus School of Architecture and Tina Saaby Madsen, Chief City Architect of Copenhagen. The two renown Danish architects will share with Vietnamese colleagues their experience in carrying out urban planning policies and solutions.
Last year, the “Danish Week – Sustainable City Solutions” was held in Hanoi from December 12-17, and in Ho Chi Minh City from December 14-19.
