Conference discusses ASEAN Socio-Cultural Community value

The Ministry of Labour, Invalids and Social Affairs (MoLISA) on September 17 held a national conference evaluating the value of the ASEAN Socio-Cultural Community (ASCC) towards the establishment of the ASEAN Community in 2015.

The event was part of MoLISA’s ASEAN cooperation programme in 2014, aimed at promoting information dissemination on the establishment of the ASCC and the building the Community Vision after 2015.
 

 


Participants highlighted values of ASEAN in general and the ASCC in particular, affirming their important role in raising public awareness and bringing fresh impetus to the formation of a strong and sustainable ASEAN community.

They also discussed main contents of ASEAN cooperation and the impact of the ASEAN Political - Security Community (APSC) and the ASEAN Economic Community (AEC).
