Concert marks Vietnam-Singapore friendship

A Vietnam-Singapore friendship concert, co-performed by the Saigon Philharmonic Orchestra (SPO) and Singaporean artists, is slated to get underway in Ho Chi Minh City Academy of Music on September 25.
Besides SPO’s conductor Adrian Tan, violinist Shan Yew and cellist Noella Yan from Singapore will play solo performances at the event.
Artists will perform a world famous concerto for both violin and cello, written by the great composer, Johannes Brahms, and also contemporary works from both nations.
The friendship concert is part of joint activities celebrating the 50th Singapore’s National Day and and 40 years of diplomatic ties between Vietnam and Singapore.
