Capital City to be in risk of storm
The city authorities in Hanoi have asked relevant agencies to develop a plan to cope with super storms, given that the weather is changing due to climate change. The plan aims to proactively respond to natural disasters to mitigate the consequences of such storms.

Hanoi’s Deputy Chair Tran Xuan Viet has instructed the Steering Committee for Flood and Storm Prevention to review, adjust and supplement its storm and flood prevention scheme, including specific plans for evacuation in strong storms.
Viet has also instructed the Departments of Construction, Agriculture and Rural Development, Planning - Architecture, and the People's Committees of all districts to tighten control over construction of houses and other facilities along rivers and in low-lying areas to reduce risks caused by natural disasters.
Hanoi’s weather has been unusually hot with big rains. The annual rainfall this year may be hundreds of milimeters.
