Businesswomen make up majority in Forbes Vietnam’s list of 50 most influential females

This is the second time that Forbes Vietnam releases such a list, covering influential Vietnamese women in the fields of politics, business, education, science, social activities, media, entertainment, creativity and sports.
In the latest list of the 50 most influential women in Vietnam in 2019 recently released by business magazine Forbes Vietnam, the business sector remained the largest contributor having 20 names in the list compared to last year’s version.


“A similar trait among these influential women is their fearless spirit and insistence, which help them achieve successes in their respective fields and creating new value for a modern woman,” said Vo Quoc Khanh, managing editor of Forbes Vietnam. 

This year, some familiar names continued to be included in the list, including Mai Kieu Lien – CEO of Vinamilk, Nguyen Thi Mai Thanh – chairwoman of REE, and Cao Thi Ngoc Dung – chairwoman of PNJ, among others, showing the strong desire, tenacity and great influence of these business women. 

Other notable mentions were Tran Thi Le – CEO of Nutifood, Le Minh Trang – CEO of Saigon Trading Group (Satra Group), Nguyen Thi Phuong Thao – CEO of Vietjet Air. 

This is the second time that Forbes Vietnam releases such a list, covering influential Vietnamese women in the fields of politics, business, education, science, social activities, media, entertainment, creativity and sports. 

In fields of social activities, Forbes Vietnam honored women who contribute to a better living standard for vulnerable groups, including cancer patients, disabled people and the LGBT community. 

With regard to science and education, representatives in the lists were leading researchers and scientists, whose works have a major impacts on the daily life. 

Additionally, Forbes Vietnam also included reporters, film producers, athletes and beauty queens who are source of inspiration for society.
