Businesses play a key role in creating inventions
At ICISN 2023, in addition to the plenary and parallel sessions, there was an industry track connecting leading technology enterprises both nationally and internationally such as Microsoft, IBM, Silicon Labs, Qualcomm, Intel, DataStax, FPT Software, FPT Smart Cloud, VNPT, VCCorp, Avada…
Renowned experts and business leaders in the field of technology participate in the conference. |
According to Dr. Le Anh Ngoc, Director of Swinburne Vietnam Innovation Space, ICISN draws lots of attention from the scientific and business communities since the development of new technologies will have a great impact on various factors, including economy, health, environment, and national security.
Dr. Le Anh Ngoc noted: “Businesses can also contribute knowledge and experience from a practical perspective. Creating a close connection between researchers and businesses will allow people to apply technology more effectively and create better products and services.”
According to Duc Dang, Head of Partnership and Business Development Intel, technology has never been so important to humanity. He commented: “Every aspect of our lives is getting more and more modern. The technology field and business must prepare for an era of sustainable and long-term needs. We need to promote innovation and take advantage of opportunities to open up new possibilities.”
At ICISN 2023, many technology solutions were presented by enterprises such as: "Microsoft Azure OpenAI Services and Enterprise ChatGPT" by Microsoft, "AI-powered CX to drive business growth” by FPT Smart Cloud, “WiSUN for Smart Cities” by Silicon Labs, “Enhance your business with integrated AI-based automation” by IBM, “Inside the AI brain – Unlocking AI with Ubiquitous hardware and open software" by Intel, "VNPT AI solution – bridge to new business models" by VNPT.

These technology solutions are developed to improve labor productivity and increase user experience, thereby prospering businesses and organizations.
Another highlighted topic being discussed at the conference was the role of enterprises in promoting technology research at universities, about several core technologies such as AI, IoT, Robotics, and other technologies related to Artificial Intelligence.
Representatives of businesses and corporations agreed that students should have the opportunity to do research, learn new technologies, and experience the real industry. They will become the owners of these technologies in the future.
Ngo Thanh Hien, Chief Technology Officer of IBM Vietnam, noted that universities should help their students access new core technologies. Students can gain skills and experience even when they are doing their bachelor's by regularly practicing new technologies.
According to Prof. Alex Stojcevski, students need to be assured that they will have a job even before graduation and go a long way in their future careers by gaining experience associated with businesses and new technologies.
He stated: “Swinburne is also known as the University of Real Industry - a “next-gen” university that provides industry-linked experiences for students and technology solutions for businesses. Swinburne ensures that all learners have real industry experience and be able to get a good job right after graduation. Swinburne is the place to apply the latest progressive models of training, research, and practice.”
