British Embassy offers free math teaching software to Vietnamese students
Lien Ha 20:08, 2017/11/17
On Nov 14, British Embassy introduced their new free math teaching software for Vietnamese pupils.
The software is designed and developed by the UK’s Just2easy Company under a UK-funded education project.
All Vietnamese teachers and students can use the software through an account at http://truonghocketnoi.edu.vn of the Ministry of Education and Training (MoET).
Each student registers an account to access the curriculum and can follow his or her performance and progress in the subject.
Teachers can use the software to also follow performance and progress and help those who are having difficulties.
The software is free for teachers and students for five years. Teachers are also trained to use J2blast software by experienced English teachers and software developers from Just2easy.
The original version only provided elementary math but the ministry asked the company to provide a separate development for Vietnam’s secondary level under international standards.
“Vietnam has numerous education software but the interactivity remains low. Therefore, the accessibility to international software would facilitate Vietnamese students and teachers to learn in new method from advanced education”, Thanh said.
The software’s original version offers merely elementary level, however the MoEt suggested the respective part for Vietnam in secondary level.
Some Vietnamese teachers are trained to adopt to the new software. Le Hang, teacher of Elementary school Ly Tu Trong (Hoa Binh Province) highly appreciates the software’s interface. “With coherent columns such as practicing, testing, commenting, vivid colors, the software can inspire the learning sense in pupils”, she said.
Mr. Alastair Cameron, Business Development Director at Just2Easy, said he was glad to be able to bring Vietnamese students an exciting and unique learning software that helps them with practical skills in math and IT
