Breathtaking West Lake in summer bloom
Ngoc Tu - Jenna Duong 17:13, 2024/05/30
Early summer scenes around the West Lake are adorned with the blossoms of Lagerstroemia, Cassia fistula, Phoenix, Lotus, and others, which are blooming one after the other.

Located to the northwest of the city center, Ho Tay or West Lake is the largest freshwater lake in Hanoi. When summer knocks at the door, the area around the lake becomes magnificent with summer flowers in bright yellow, glowing red, pink, purple and white colors.

People in Hanoi still love to stroll around West Lake, mesmerized by the sparkling flowers, even in the midst of the hot and bright weather.

With trees planted along the lake in full bloom, Hanoi's popular tourist destination is becoming more romantic. Photos: Ngoc Tu/The Hanoi Times
The bright red of Phoenix and the brilliant yellow of Cassia fistula intermingle beautifully with the purple flowers of Lagerstroemia.
Hanoi's summer is brighter with vibrant colours.
The colors of the flowers blend with the vast expanse of the lake, creating a truly poetic beauty for the West Lake landscape.
The beautiful flowers of the Lagerstroemia, though without fragrance, can still enchant many a romantic soul.
The Phoenix flower blooms when students are about to say goodbye to school for a Summer holiday.
Cassia fistula adorns the streets of Hanoi with its iridescent, glittering and bright yellow color.
Under the lagoons in the area, white lotus flowers are also in full bloom.
The beauty of Summer captures the hearts of many locals and visitors to the capital.
To capture these fleeting moments of beauty, students love to take pictures with the flowers.
