The book exhibition commemorating the 70th anniversary of the capital's Liberation Day (October 10, 1954-2024) will be held from October 9-13 at the National Library of Vietnam, 31 Trang Thi Street, Hoan Kiem District, Hanoi.
It aims to introduce the significance and great historical value of the Capital Liberation Day in the revolutionary cause of the struggle for national independence and socialism; to affirm the correct and wise leadership of the Communist Party of Vietnam, President Ho Chi Minh, and national unity as the decisive factors in all victories of the Vietnamese revolution.
The book exhibition is expected to contribute to educating the tradition of patriotism, and bravery of the army and people of the whole country in general and the capital Hanoi in particular in the resistance war; to introduce the achievements in innovation, development and integration of the capital and the country.

Books are displayed in indoor and outdoor spaces according to themes: "Hanoi - A Thousand Years of Culture and Heroes", "Hanoi - City of Peace", "Hanoi - The Heart of the Whole Country, the National Political and Administrative Center" and a series of books that have been adapted into cinematic works.
The highlights of the outdoor exhibition are two installations, "Viet Bac - Capital of Resistance" by Thai Nguyen University Publishing House and "Hanoi - Capital of Peace" by Hanoi Publishing House.
In addition, the outdoor area will feature booths from the many book companies and publishers.
Throughout the exhibition, publishers and distributors will organize discussions, book presentations, meetings with authors, art programs, and more.
The exhibition is under the auspices of the Ministry of Information and Communication in coordination with the Party's Commission for Communication and Education, the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism, the Hanoi People's Committee, and the Vietnam Publishers Association.
