Blood drive achieves success

​About 800 litres of blood were collected from 7,000 participants at the Grateful Red Drop blood donation festival on Saturday in Ha Noi.
The festival was the final event of the 22-day Red Journey blood donation campaign, held in 25 provinces and cities throughout the country.
 
 
During the campaign, volunteers toured the country to encourage people to participate in blood donation events in rural areas and raise awareness about thalassaemia, a genetic blood disorder that can lead to heart failure and liver problems.
Nearly 5,000 litres of blood were collected nationwide during the campaign.
