Korean girl band BlackPink won big applause for wearing conical hats, speaking Vietnamese, and dancing See Tinh.

The first show of the Born Pink World Tour Hanoi concert took place on the evening of July 29th at My Dinh Stadium in front of 30,000 people. The national stadium was colored pink with BlackPink's iconic lightsticks. The crowd cheered passionately throughout the two-hour concert.

The band took the stage at My Dinh Stadium at 7:50 pm for their first show in Vietnam.

They warmed up the stage with How You Like That before singing and dancing to Whistle and Pretty Strange.

The South Korean idols then said "Xin chao" the Vietnamese greetings to their fans before singing Lovesick Girl and Don't Know What to Do.

During the dance challenge, My Dinh Stadium was transformed into a giant stage as fans danced merrily to BlackPink's popular melodies. After a break, they returned on stage and drove the fans crazy by singing one of their biggest hits, Kill This Love, with fireworks effects.

Rose's rapping during the song Playing with Fire was well received by the fans, who responded quickly when the members called out, "Shout it out!" in Vietnamese.

Many fans also sang along when the band performed Pink Venom, the title track from their new album.

Most of the songs performed at My Dinh Stadium were remixed to bring a new vibe to the concert, which is part of a world tour that began late last year.

Later in the show, the band further won the hearts of the fans by dancing to See Tinh (See Love), a hit song by Vietnamese pop star Hoang Thuy Linh that has gone viral on Asian social media platforms and gotten many around the world dancing to it.

The show ended with the girls saying goodbye to the audience in Hanoi, wearing conical hats and taking the usual wefie photo with the audience.

Ngoc Han, Miss Vietnam 2010, is one of the spectators. She said it was her first time to attend such a big concert.

"I feel satisfied and happy because the show is perfect. The BlackPink girls perform with enthusiasm," she said.

Ngoc Han also hopes that after this show, Vietnam will become a destination for international bands and artists so that Vietnamese fans don't have to go abroad but can enjoy live music performances of international idols at home.

Despite the rain pouring down at the beginning of the concert, most of the audience thought it was worthwhile because they enjoyed a wonderful performance.

BlackPink's first-ever show in Hanoi is the group's final stop in Asia on their  Born Pink World Tour.

The tour grossed approximately $163.8 million before Hanoi, with over 900,000 tickets sold. This makes Born Pink's the highest-grossing girl group tour of all time, surpassing the previous record set by the Spice Girls ($78.2 million).

Born Pink World Tour Hanoi arrived in Hanoi after a bumpy road due to issues regarding ticket price, song list and song copyright. However, on July 25, Vu Thu Ha, vice chairwoman of the Hanoi People's Committee, confirmed that the shows would go on as planned.

According to the announcement, the committee has ordered departments and agencies, along with the municipal police and the capital's High Command, to develop a plan to ensure security during the show.
The committee asked relevant units to strengthen communication for international cultural events and promote the image of Vietnam as a friendly and hospitable destination suitable for hosting political, cultural, sports, and international events.
