Belgium provides 252 billion VND for Thai Nguyen province's wastewater treatment project
The Belgian Government will provide 252 billion VND (10.8 million Euro) in official development assistance for a 439-billion-VND project on wastewater treatment and drainage systems in the northern province of Thai Nguyen.
A ceremony to sign the contract on equipment consultation and services for the project was held in early December between Belgian contractor Sodraep and the Thai Nguyen Water Sewerage and Urban Infrastructure Development One Member Limited Company.
The project on wastewater treatment and drainage systems in the locality will be carried out in five years.
It aims to restore and build sewers, pumping stations, and wastewater treatment facilities so as to reduce pollution, and protect the quality of underground water.
The project targets to treat wastewater for 85 percent of Thai Nguyen city’s population by 2020.
