Bat Trang to launch smart tour package after being recognized as tourist site
A host of activities from October 10-13 will follow the recognition ceremony including the opening of the Trang An ancient house, a tourism and culture fair, and folk art performances.
To celebrate its official recognition as a tourist attraction in Hanoi, Bat Trang ceramic village will carry out several activities, including the launch of a smart tourist package.
A ceremony to celebrate the recognition will be held on October 9 in the village of Bat Trang, followed by the inauguration of a tour package that includes free wi-fi, automatic tour guide, tourist information portal, Bat Trang tourism applications, virtual reality visit of the villages, smart electric cars and a demonstration of the smart bike. In addition, local tourism companies also will make debut of their products on this occasion.

Bat Trang is the only commune in the district of Gia Lam where the locals practice handicrafts, trade and services, and tourism. It is home to the famous ceramic villages of Giang Cao and Bat Trang.
Gia Lam’s authorities said that in order to deserve the recognition, they will carry out a project to develop Bat Trang which includes the circulation of electric cars in the commune premises to keep a healthy environment, civilized behavior education and pottery promotion.
Bat Trang, a commune established in the area of 164 hectares, is home to two traditional craft villages namely Bat Trang and Giang Cao, nine cultural, historical and architectural heritages and two revolutionary heritages.
Notably, in an area of 5.2 hectares of the centennial village, there is an architectural treasure of 23 ancient houses and 16 lineage halls built with ancient bricks. The destination has been wellknown among domestic and foreign visitors for its lively and sophisticated pottery products.
