The view was shared by Vo Anh Kiet, Vice Chairman of the provincial People’s Committee and Wendy Conway Lamb, First Secretary of the Australian Embassy during the latter’s working visit on May 7.
The projects provided life-saving information along with training for residents, equipping them with the skills to address natural disaster risks caused by climate change.
They also granted loans to 72 poor households including ethnic minority and disabled people, helping them better cope with tremendous losses caused by annual floods and other natural disasters in the region.
During their stay in An Giang, the Australian delegation also made fact-finding tours of ongoing projects being implemented in Phu Tan and An Phu districts.
