Ambassadors’ spouses to go catwalk in Vietnamese ao dai performance

2016 Ao dai Festival with the theme "Our Ao dai" that will open at Van Mieu - Quoc Tu Giam (Temple of Literature) in Hanoi on the night of March 4 and will be broadcast live on Hanoi Television.
At the festival, nineteen designers from across the country will present their latest collection of "‘ao dai", Vietnam’s traditional long dress inspired by various flowers.
Specially, during this year's festival, a few of female ambassadors and ambassadors’ spouses will go catwalk in Vietnamese ao dai for the first time, including Italian Ambassador Cecilia Piccioni, Italian Vice Ambassador Natalia Sangtitini, spouse of Haitian Ambassador Jovana Benoit, spouse of UK Ambassador Gill Level, and Director of the Russian Centre of Science and Culture Zubtsova Elena Robertovna.

Besides, the highlight of the ao dai performance will also be the ramp walk of artists Tra Giang, Thanh Tu, Nhu Quynh, Minh Chau, Ngoc Lan, Thanh Loan.
Peope's artist Tra Giang said this is the first time the famous artist will wear ao dai as a model. 
According to the announcement of HCM City's Department of Culture and Sport, the third festival themed “HCM City – Ao Dai City” will be organised from March 5-20. 
The opening ceremony will take place on March 8. During the festival, students will participate in the tunic ride bicycles from the Youth Cultural House to key destinations in HCM City to promote tourism. 
In addition, tailors, companies and shopping malls will offer discounts on ao dais and accessories during the festival. 
An ao dai decoration competition for local and foreign contestants will be organised  from March 19-20. Tourists could also get ao dais done in short order.
