78 bridges on highways to be upgraded in the 2015-2017 period

KTĐT - The Vietnam Road Department has approved a project to repair and upgrade bridges on national highways across the country.

According to the Vietnam Road Department, there are about 163 bridges on 37 highways nationwide that is necessary to be repaired, upgraded and widened to solve the volume of traffic.
The Vietnam Road Department said that the total investment capital required for the project was estimated to be 770 billion VND.
78 bridges will be upgraded and reinforced in the 2015-2017 period at a cost of 393.8 billion VND that will be mobilised from the central road maintenance fund.
The upgrade and repair of the remaining 85 bridges will be deployed when the Ministry of Transport allocates funds for it.
