4G piloting to connect with people

Hanoi is urgently studying the connection implemented to provide information, services for people with 4G technology and will be piloted since April 1, 2017 in two districts of Hoan Kiem and Ba Dinh. For many people, this is the advocate they are expecting.


 
Earlier, Chairman of Hanoi People's Committee Nguyen Duc Chung has asked Hanoi Department of Information and Communications to coordinate with VietinBank, Viettel Corporation and related units to research 4G technology, to give people the information for environmental monitoring: air quality, water quality, precipitation, inundation maps and the content information for other propaganda.

Connecting people and providing information and services using 4G technology will contribute to gradually replace Ward speaker system, simultaneously supporting people to make payments via credit card online or for electricity, water, garbage collection and other public services, encouraging card payments. This is one of the directing program to promote IT applications in 2017 in Hanoi.

Viettel is now considered the first unit in Vietnam producing broadcast receiver 4G. Network infrastructure equipment for 4G (4G transceiver stations macros) are features like the other manufacturers in the world. In the first quarter of 2017, the company tested the 4G network (EPC) and transmission equipment of Site Router, 2018 will replace the core network equipment imported by products produced by enterprises. And by 2020, 70% of Viettel telecommunications infrastructure is self-researched, designed, production instead of buying from other suppliers such as 2G and 3G technology.

Not only connecting 4G technology, City Chairman Nguyen Duc Chung also asked the People's Committees of districts, towns in collaboration with the Department of Information and Communications, Department of Culture and Tourism deployment screen to promote and support people to use public services at the apartment towards socialization.
