265 students received Scholarships

The Program was launched by the Tuoi Tre (Youth) newspaper in May 2014, and has received roughly VND42 billion (USD2 million) from readers at home as well as abroad.
120 scholarships, worth VND3 million each, were granted to children of coast guard and fisheries surveillance officers and fishermen in Da Nang city and Quang Nam province on August 23.
 
 
The scholarships were part of a program titled “Joining efforts to protect sovereignty over waters in the East Sea”.
The students are those who made great efforts to achieve good academic results, many of them come from disadvantaged backgrounds.
