223.87 million USD funded for green urban development project
The project on developing green urban areas aims to improve and expand traffic networks and infrastructure, and creat a driving force for urban development in commerce, services and tourism for participating provinces.
The Prime Minister has approved a project on developing green urban areas funded by loans from the Asian Development Bank (ADB).
The project with the total investment capital of 223.87 million USD will be carried out in five years in the northern provinces of Ha Giang, Vinh Phuc and the central province of Thua Thien-Hue.
The project aims to improve and expand the provinces’ traffic networks and infrastructure, as well as creat a driving force for urban development in commerce, services and tourism to generate income and better living conditions for participating localities.
The main tasks of the project include developing urban areas’ traffic networks, building and upgrading infrastructure, improving drainage and environmental hygiene conditions, and building sewage treatment systems with the target to deploying strategic socio-economic development plans of participating localities.
The project with the total investment capital of 223.87 million USD will be carried out in five years in the northern provinces of Ha Giang, Vinh Phuc and the central province of Thua Thien-Hue.
The central province of Thua Thien-Hue will be invested to become a green urban area.
