Hanoi Times – The Ministry of Information and Telecommunications (MIT) had a meeting with information technology (IT) experts to discuss the way to develop e-government.
Information and Telecommunications Minister Le Doan Hop said that IT application in the State agencies should be attached to administrative reforms so as to build a modern, transparent and equal administration.
Under the draft program on IT application 2008-2010 by the IT Application Center, 100% State agencies will have e-portals and 30% enterprises to make online reports by 2010.
The MIT will pilot e-governmental models in four ministries (Finance, Information and Telecommunications, Education and Training, Agriculture and Rural Development) and five provinces (Hanoi, Ho Chi Minh City, Da Nang, Lao Cai and Hai Phong).
