200 artists to compete in Vietnam-Laos-Cambodia circus talent competition

According to the Department of Performing Arts, more than 200 artists will compete in the Vietnam-Laos-Cambodia Young Circus Talent Contest which will take place from December 8-12 in Hanoi.
Head of the Department of Performing Arts Nguyen Dang Chuong said this year's competition is expected to help strengthen solidarity and ties between the three countries,
He also noted that
the competition provides an opportunity for young performers in the region to learn from each other for the development of the arts.

The Department of Performing Arts announced that some 600 young performers from the region aged 14 to 27 have registered to compete for prizes in the five categories of acrobatics, juggling, balancing, magic, and circus clowns.
Six circus teams, including four from Vietnam, one from Laos and one from Cambodia, will perform 34 circus acts at the competition.
Gold and silver medals will be awarded to most outstanding individuals and groups of performers while the judges also pick out the best director and the best coach.
