Associate ProfessorNguyen The Hoang is the first Vietnamesewinner of the prize.

AlexandervonHumboldtis a private scientificfund which provides scholarships tomore than 2,000foreignscientiststodo researchesinGermany. Since 1953, theFoundationhas awardedmorethan60scholarships toVietnamesescientists.
