This year's Poetry Day aims to honour outstanding poets in 2016, including those winning the association’s awards.
This year, the “Vietnam’s Children Poet Space” for children clubs’ activities will be designed with three pavilions beside those for cities and provinces, according to the organising board.
Meanwhile, the traditional poetry space will give exchange opportunities for groups of outstanding poets of different generations and authors winning awards of the Vietnam Writers’ Association.
Another space will also be held for poets from cities and provinces as well as poet clubs across the country to meet and introduce their works.

An exhibition will also be organised as part of activities to mark the 60th anniversary of the Vietnam Writers’ Association, which will showcase documents, photos and items highlighting achievements of the association so far.
Localities will also respond to the event. In Thai Nguyen, it will be organised in the Dinh Hoa Safety Zone.
