12,000 students to attend a flag raising ceremony in Hanoi

According to the Vietnam Youth Union, Hanoi Chapter, a flag raising ceremony will be organised at the My Dinh National Sports Complex on August 30 to mark the 70th anniversary of the August Revolution (August 19) and National Day (September 2).

The event aims to educate the young generation about the great historical value of the August Revolution and the birth of the Democratic Republic of Vietnam.
Besides the flag raising ceremony, the 12,000 students will also participate to form a living map of Vietnam, the national flag, the Party flag and Hanoi’s symbol.
