120 domestic and foreign artists attend 2015 International Sculpture Camp
The Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism in collaboration with the People`s Committee of HCM City organised the 2015 international sculpture camp in HCM City on December 1.
As many as 50 sculpture works by domestic and international artists were showcased at the event, aiming to show the development, innovation, and integration of HCM City, attracting more tourists to the city.
The event also aims to enhance the outdoor art space in the city while contributing to the development of the sculpture sector.
The camp attracted the participation of 120 domestic and foreign authors, including 27 foreign artists from over 20 countries and territories worldwide such as the US, Japan, Russia, Republic of Korea.
The art works were selected from more than 200 entries of all genres and styles, featuring the building, development and integration of the city as well as the livelihood of local residents in the recent years.
Outstanding works will be displayed in local public areas such as Nguyen Hue flower street and in parks.
The camp runs through December 15.
