The MMF organisers said they had to wait three years to get a nod from Scorpion.
According to MMF general director Quoc Trung, to prepare for the two-and-a-half-hour concert of the world-famous band, the organisers had to rent most of the sound equipment from Malaysia “to satisfy their extremely tough requirements for sound and lighting”.
The Monsoon Music Festival, that made its debut since 2014, draws thousands of music lovers in Vietnam to enjoy its diversity of music styles annually.
Some international big names have performed at MMF, including the all female Australian/British string quartet Bond and the Grammy-winning soul singer Joss Ston.
