The training course is among over 100 activities to celebrate the 45th year of Vietnam-Japan ties.
Head coach of the Vietnam women's football team Mai Duc Chung and his students would have a ten day-training course starting from August 1 in Mimasaka city, Japan.
This is the second time that the Vietnam women’s football team join the training course in Japan, following the first of its kind last year.
Within the event, Japanese Embassy in Vietnam on July 30 held an encouragement ceremony to wish the team a sucessful trip.

Speaking at the ceremony, Japanese Ambassador to Vietnam UMEDA Kunio highlighted that the event is among over 100 activities to celebrate the 45th year of Vietnam-Japan ties (1973-2018). It contributes positively to the two nations’ partnership and looks towards the Olympic Tokyo 2020.
“The ceremony is an encouragement for Vietnam women’s football team as well as to realize the commitments made by Vietnamese and Japanese governments to enhance cooperation in sport-culture”, said UMEDA Kunio.
At the ceremony, Head Coach of the Vietnam women's football team Mai Duc Chung thanked the Japanese government and Mimasaka city for the support given to Vietnamese football.
The gold medal of the team at the SEA Games 29 last year is attributed partly to the remarkable support of Mimasaka city at the time, Chung specified.
The head coach also hoped the course this year would result in good achievements and help Vietnam prepare for the Asian Games, known as ASIAD, in Indonesia, heading to the Olympic Tokyo 2020.

Mimasaki has become one of the host towns to Vietnam sport delegation since 2016, as part of a program to boost the cultural exchanges between Japan and countries worldwide, heading to the Olympic and Paralympic Tokyo 2020. The city then received Vietnam women’s football team in August 2017 for training and friendly football matches.
