The Civil Aviation Authority of Vietnam (CAA) would closely supervise the operation of Bamboo Airways for the next three to six months.
Bamboo Airways holds an emergency meeting with the CAA following the arrest of its chairman. |
The move was revealed during an emergency meeting between the CAA and senior officials of Bamboo Airways on March 30, which took place after the arrest of the Chairman of FLC Group and the airline Trinh Van Quyet.
At the meeting, the CAA said it would submit a report on the operation of Bamboo Airways to the Ministry of Transport.
Vice General Director of Bamboo Airways Nguyen Ngoc Trong said the chairman has authorized Vu Dang Hai Yen, vice General Director of FLC, to exercise his shareholder rights of the airline.
“Without any changes to the airline personnel such as pilots, stewards, or engineers, its operation continues as usual,” said Trong.
In terms of financial situation, Trong noted Bamboo Airways operate under the FLC ecosystem and maintain a strong partnership with its banking partners, for which there would be no disruption to the working capital.
“Bamboo Airways is committed to fulfilling all its obligation to customers and partners,” he added.
According to Trong, Bamboo Airways has taken steps to ensure the safety of flight operation and maintain a sustainable business model
FLC Group today [March 31] announced the appointment of Dang Tat Thang, vice general director of FLC and general director of Bamboo Airways, to serve as the chair of the board of the airline. |
