PM receives Cuban Ambassador

PM Nguyen Tan Dung on November 28 received Cuban Ambassador to Viet Nam Herminio Lopez Diaz.

Welcoming Mr. Herminio Lopez Diaz, who has been assigned as the new Ambassador to Viet Nam, PM Dung stressed on the traditional relationship between Viet Nam and Cuba and stated that Viet Nam appreciated the cooperation and support Cuba has given to Viet Nam.

Viet Nam will do its utmost to deepen the relations effectively and practically for the development of both sides, he stated.

He hoped that the Ambassador will work with the two nations’ ministries and agencies to launch agreements and accelerate the new cooperative programs in the fields of economic, trade and investment.

The PM expected that Cuba will support Vietnamese businesses in investing in telecommunication and agriculture in Cuba.

The Vietnamese leader suggested the two sides organize official visits and people-to-people exchanges to strengthen the relations and boost their cooperation in potential fields such as education, medicine and science-technology.

The Cuban Ambassador asserted to try his best to promote the two countries’ relationship to a new height and hoped that Viet Nam will share more experience with Cuba for its national development.
