My will bring 12 designs of her Fall-Winter collection featuring stronger outer and elegant inner pieces in bright colors of pink, orange, blue and black to showcase to the event.

The result will be announced at a gala on October 20 with parades of the latest pieces by 70 world designers, 15 Malaysian designers and 15 Asian designers.

This year’s fashion week will be held along side with the Malaysia Fashion Showcase featuring over 200 international delegates and 70 top emerging and established designers from 15 Asian countries including Japan, Korea, China, and Australia among others. The event is organized by Asia Fashion Inc., one of Asia’s largest fashion agencies and retail multi-label designer stores with the support from Malaysia Trade Government (Matrade).

The organizer will also grant three awards, including Asia’s Most Influential Designer 2014, Asia’s Most Promising Designer 2014 and Asia’s Most Connected Designer 2014 at an award ceremony on October 22.

Born in 1988, My won Discarded to Divine Project and Are You Runway Ready contests in the U.S. in 2010. The graduate from the Academy of Art University in San Francisco joined in the New York Fashion Week in 2011.

My was a stylist/producer for Elle and Harper Bazaar fashion magazines when she first came back to Vietnam in 2012 and then launched a store of her high-fashion brand Phuong My on Le Thanh Ton Street in District 1 earlier last year.
