VGP 09:16, 2013/11/08
Viet Nam and Palestine on November 6 signed an agreement on double taxation avoidance as part of a series of activities to mark the 25th anniversary of diplomatic ties between the two sides.
The agreement will be a firm legal basis for both sides to broaden business and investment. In addition, it creates legal framework for mutual cooperation and support between the Viet Nam's tax agencies and Palestinian partners in international tax management with the aim to preventing tax evasion on income and assets.

Speaking at the signing ceremony, Deputy Minister of Finance Truong Chi Trung said that the agreement will contribute to developing bilateral trade and investment ties as well as strengthening comprehensive cooperation between the two countries through creating a transparent and stable legal environment on taxation for their investors.

Palestinian Ambassador to Viet Nam Saadi M.H. Salama affirmed the agreement will offer a stable legal environment for economic and trade linkages, reflecting the traditional friendship between the two countries.
