Vietnamese gay film to attend Montreal World Film Festival

Vietnamese gay film, Cầu vồng không sắc (Rainbow without colours), directed by Nguyen Quang Tuyen, has been invited to compete in the Montreal World Film Festival.
The film depicts a family whose two sons are gay. Sadly, the mother refuses to accept her sons’ identity.
The film features celebrities from Vietnam, including MC Thanh Tu, actor Tung Yuki, actress Viet My and first runner-up of Vietnam’s Next Top Model 2013 Vu Tuan Viet.
It was premiered in Vietnam’s cinemas in mid-March this year.
The film will be the second Vietnam film to take part in the Montreal World Film Festival. In 2006, Vietnamese filmChuyen Cua Pao (Pao’s Story), participated in the event.
The Montreal World Film Festival is one of Canada’s oldest international film festivals. It has a large diversity of films from all over the world.
The festival will be held from August 27 to September 7 this year.
