The Asian Architecture Design Awards 2023 (AADA 2023), held earlier this week in Singapore, honored many unique architectural works representing Vietnam's green and sustainable urban environment.

A number of residential projects, resorts, restaurants and offices in Vietnam have shown the combination of modern architecture with indigenous elements, especially the harmony between nature and human living space.

The Grand Maria Saigon - The Lake Tower (I.F.O SRL), Xuan Thao Residential Area, CBRE Hanoi Office (Vacons), SHB Best Workplace, NGO House (D.O.G house), Mai Chau Culture Resort, Grand Tourane Nha Trang (Sunjin Vietnam) were awarded by the jury.

Alberto Beretta, CEO of I.F.O SRL, and head of the jury of the Asian Architecture Design Awards 2023, noted that Asian architecture, including that of Vietnam, has always been known for its unique beauty, diversity, and delicate blend of tradition and modernity.

"The projects and works submitted for the award have shown the strong rise of Asian architecture with creative ideas covering many fields, from commercial to residential architecture," he said.

During the awards ceremony, leading experts discussed the following topics: Future of the Interior Design Industry; Designing for Livable Cities; Connecting People through Interior Design; Hotels, Architecture and Culture.

The Ngo (Alley) House (D.O.G House) in Hanoi is one of the winners of the Asia Architecture Design Awards (AADA).

The entries have presented different viewpoints, in-depth knowledge, and a five-year vision for the architectural design business in Asia from a close, new, but equally profound perspective.

Through the award, a strong network of Asian architectural communities has been formed for architects and experts from 12 countries in the region to exchange and share experiences.

Commenting on the development potential of Vietnam's architecture industry, Dang The My, CEO and founder of Vacons - a partner of the Asia Awards Organization, said: "Many projects from Vietnam have been awarded and highly appreciated. This will be a big step forward and even open a new era for the architecture industry in Vietnam."

Speaking to The Hanoi Times on August 17, a representative of the award organizers emphasized that this is a prestigious event in the field of architecture in Asia to honor and recognize outstanding works of architects and impressive structures throughout the region.

After more than eight months running, the award has received a strong response with more than 1,100 accounts registered on the official website, more than 436 projects successfully submitted, and 100 projects entered the final round. The jury worked extremely hard to find the 50 winners of the prestigious awards.

After the awards ceremony, the Asia Awards Organization officially kicked off the new season with the theme of "Emerging Asia".

The 2024 Asian Architecture Design Awards will have 30 categories in six main areas: Architectural Design, Interior Design, Furniture Design, Architectural Design Firms, Interior Design Firms, Furniture Manufacturing and Retail Firms.

The Award is officially accepting entries until the end of January 2024. The award ceremony is expected to be held in Bangkok, Thailand.
