Vietnam into 2nd round of Davis Cup

Nguyen Hoang Thien defeated Aditya Hari Sasongko of Indonesia in the men’s singles match of the first round of the Davis Cup in Indonesia on March 6.
Thien crushed Sasongko 3-6, 6-2, 3-6, 6-4, 6-4 in three hours and 35 minutes.
In the other men’s singles matches, Ly Hoang Nam lost to Christopher Rungkat 4-6, 1-6, and then Nam withdrew from the third set due to his fatigue.

Thien and Nam bested Rungkat and Sunu Wahyu Trijati 3-1 in the men’s doubles match on March 5, which lasted 12 hours due to poor weather.
Also on March 4, Pham Minh Tuan lost to Rungkat 0-3, while Nam defeated David Agung Susanto 3-0.
Vietnam defeated Indonesia 3-2 to enter the event’s second round.
