Vietnam-India Cultural Week opens in Ho Chi Minh City
The Vietnam-India Cultural Week kicked off at Ho Chi Minh City’s Youth Culture House on January 7.
The event opens a series of activities to celebrate the 45th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between Vietnam and India (January 7th, 1972 – January 7th, 2017) and the 10th anniversary of the strategic partnership between two nations (July 6th, 2007 – July 6th, 2017).
The week called “Vietnam—India Friendship Day” will feature many interesting cultural activities, such as music performances, a food fair, and a photo exhibition introducing images of India to people in Ho Chi Minh City.
The event is being jointly held by the Ho Chi Minh City Union of Friendship Organisations (HUFO), the Vietnam-India Friendship Association and Youth Culture House in coordination with the Consulate General of India in Ho Chi Minh City and the Indian Business Chamber in Vietnam (INCHAM).
The event creates an opportunity for India to introduce its colourful culture and art to local residents and vice versa, strengthening the friendship, solidarity and mutual understanding between the two peoples.
The Vietnam-India Cultural Week lasts until January 14 at the Youth Culture House, 04 Pham Ngoc Thach Street, Dist.1, Ho Chi Minh City.
