Vietnam beat Guatemala 4-2 and lost to Paraguay and Italy 1-7 and 0-2 in the group round. In the round of 16, Vietnam lost to Russia 0-7.
The tournament wrapped up in Colombia on October 2, with Argentina claiming the title after defeating Russia 5-4. Iran took third place after a 4-3 penalty shootout win over Portugal following a 2-2 draw.
Vietnam’s futsal team will gather in HCM City on October 3 to prepare for the coming Southeast Asian tournament.
