Vietnam granted fair play award at 2016 Futsal World Cup

The FIFA has presented the fair play award to the Vietnam futsal team after their impressive performance at the 2016 FIFA Futsal World Cup.

The Vietnam futsal team only received four yellow cards during four matches and they earned a ticket to compete in the round of 16 of the event.
Vietnam beat Guatemala 4-2 and lost to Paraguay and Italy 1-7 and 0-2 in the group round. In the round of 16, Vietnam lost to Russia 0-7.
The tournament wrapped up in Colombia on October 2, with Argentina claiming the title after defeating Russia 5-4. Iran took third place after a 4-3 penalty shootout win over Portugal following a 2-2 draw.
Vietnam’s futsal team will gather in HCM City on October 3 to prepare for the coming Southeast Asian tournament.
