The Vietnam Art Kite Festival 2015 was held in the southern coastal city of Vung Tau on February 28 and March 1, attracting large crowds of locals and tourists.
The two-day festival brought together nearly 190 kite artists from 15 clubs across the country.
Visitors were treated with an eye-catching kite flying display of nearly 230 kites, including an 81-metre long kite in the shape of a giant copperhead.
After the event, the provincial Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism will select artists and clubs with unique kites to attend the international kite festival, which is slated for April 2015, said Deputy Director Phan Thanh Sang.
