Vietnam Airlines look to deploy Boeing 787-9 on Hanoi – Moscow air route.

Vietnam Airlines will deploy Boeing 787-9 Dreamliner on services between Hanoi and Moscow (Russia) and also replace Airbus A330. The first flight using Boeing 787-9 Dreamliner aircraft of national flag carrier Vietnam Airlines arrived at Domodedovo airport in Moscow, Russia, on March 27 (local time).
The airline is striving to meet demand of passengers in Russia, adding that the airlines will operate new routes linking Vietnam and Russia in the future, according to Le Thanh Dung, Chief Representative of Vietnam Airlines in Russia.
Boeing 787-9 Dreamliner can carry up to 311 passengers and saves 20% of fuel compared to previous generations of aircraft. Vietnam Airlines was recognised as a 4-star airline for two consecutive years in 2016 and 2017 by the international air transport rating organisation Skytrax. It targets a 13% increase in revenue and an 8.3% rise in the number of passengers in 2018. Apart from Asia, the airline is also seeking to expand their markets in Europe.
The Boeing 787 Dreamliner is an all-new, super-efficient family of commercial airplanes that brings big-jet ranges and speed to the middle of the market. Boeing designed the 787 family with superior efficiency, allowing airlines to open new routes profitably and fly directly where passengers wish in exceptional comfort. The 787 family uses 20 to 25% less fuel with 20 to 25% fewer emissions than the airplanes they replace.  Since entering service in 2011, the 787 has flown more than 124 million passengers on more than 530 routes around the world, including more than 120 new nonstop routes made possible through its efficiency.
On Hanoi – Moscow route, Vietnam Airlines passengers can use USB ports by the seat means it’s possible to work for the duration of the flight. Each seat incorporates a 15.4” HD touch screen with a few new international film, alongside audio books and albums, means there are enough entertainment options to cater to most tastes for the duration of a long-haul flight…
The central coastal city of Nha Trang welcomed 280,000 Russian in the first eight months, 2017 an annual increase of 220%.
