Unique Tropical Botanical Garden in Thailand
Famously known as “Heaven on earth”, Nong Nooch Tropical Botanical Garden or Nong Nooch traditional village is attracting thousands of tourists coming here to discover and experience every day.
Opening to the public in 1980, this unique Nong Nooch Tropical Botanical Garden located in Chon Buri province, Thailand is an attractive tourist destination.
The Nong Nooch Tropical Botanical Garden situated in Highway No.3 from Bangkok to Pattaya, is one of the most famous botanical garden in Thailand.

The garden is named after the first owner, Nongnooch Tansancha. In 1954, Mr. Pisit and Mrs. Nongnooch Tansancha purchased the 2.4km square plot of land with the intention of developing the land as a fruit plantation.

After many travelling trips, Mrs. Nongnooch was impressed with the beauty of botanical gardens in the world, so she dicided to plant tropical flowers and plants instead.

The garden was opened to the public in 1980 and became attractive tourist destination with more than 5,000 visitors daily.

In 2001, the management of Nong Nooch garden was handed over to her son Kampon Tansacha Nongnooch.
|
The garden has tens of thousands of plants collected from all over the world, including many rare ones. This is also seen as “heaven on earth” for orchids lovers, as hundreds of different kinds of orchids are planted here.

Besides tropical gardens, Nong Nooch Tropical Botanical Garden also has theme parks, entertainment and cultural shows performing areas.

Visitors can enjoy traditional Thai music or Muay Thai martial art.

With the combination of Ecotourism, cultural & art performance, and cuisine, every day, the Nong Nooch cultural village receives from 2,000 – 3,000 visitors. This is also an ideal destination for Thai students in outdoor activities, scientists and biologists in plants study.
