The Hanoitimes- UK businesses are seeking opportunities to invest in the Vietnamese market, according to UK Minister of Trade and Investment Lord Freen in a meeting with Chairman of the Ho Chi Minh City People’s Committee Le Hoang Quan.
He stressed that infrastructure is a potential area for both domestic and international investors in Vietnam, and that UK businesses are keen on this area.
He also said that his visit to Vietnam this time aimed to boost trade and investment ties between the UK and Vietnam in the future.
During the meeting, UK businesses showed interest in urban railways, Thu Thiem town and Long Thanh Airport.
Additionally, UK businesses shared their experience in building some sport projects, since Vietnam as the host country is preparing for the Asian Games 2019 (ASIAD 2019).
