Two local designers to compete at Asia fashion designer awards

Chau Chan Hung and Ha Hong Lam, runners-up of Project Runway Vietnam in 2013 and 2014, have been picked by Harper’s Bazaar Vietnam magazine to take part in the Asia New Generation Fashion Designer Awards in Singapore from May 13 to 17.

The 30-year-old Chau Chan Hung has his own brand called Maison Des Copains. He also introduced his collection “Su chuyen dong cua nhung canh hoa” (the movement of a flower’s patterns) at the coronation night of Vietnam’s Next Top Model 2013.
Ha Hong Lam, 26, was the sole female contestant at the final round of the Project Runway Vietnam 2014. People know Lam thanks to her elegant designs and beautiful appearance.
The Asia New Generation Fashion Designer Awards, which was first held in 2013 by Harper’s Bazaar Singapore, Thailand, Indonesia and Malaysia, aims to nurture fashion design talent in an international environment.

A judging panel which consists of Asian fashion experts and photographers will help look for the winner based on his/her creativity, aesthetics and individuality. A winner will have a chance to feature his/her creations in Harper’s Bazaar magazines in Singapore, Thailand, Indonesia and Malaysia and Vietnam.
Especially, the winner will take a training course at Instituto Marangoni, a school of fashion and design in London and other interesting prizes.
