The 9th LaVieVuLinh Festival
A celebration of culture, tradition and arts of the Dao Quần Trắng ethnic minority in Yên Bái Province.
Celebration time is here again! From April 29th to May 2nd, join us and the Dao ethnic minority for LaVieVuLinh’s 9th anniversary.
Every year, the festival is the occasion for the local people to celebrate their culture but also discover new entertainment perspectives with the participation of foreign artists. With this specific focus on culture, traditions and arts of the Dao Quan Trang ethnic minority, we put all our energy in creating activities that will foster interaction between you and the Dao people: join the Olympic race and ethnic games competitions, participate to the artistic workshops, jump in the lake or dance with the kids in the evening… !
All our guest artists participate with the local kids and you to create unique shows. We hope you will take this opportunity to exchange directly with the locals in a simple and authentic way.
This year, we are pleased to have with us as guest artists:
– Collectif VTV, a professional circus group specialized in social workshops, will supervise all types of juggling workshops.
– Music band La Belle et la Bête will fill the air of tunes and make sure we waltz all week-end long.
– Hanoi-based painter Phong Vu Manh will supervise the painting of a large mural and supervise painting workshops.
The 9th LaVieVuLinh Festival will open on 29 Apr and be on display until 02 May 2017 at LaVieVuLinh, Thac Ba lake, Ngoi Tu village, Vu Linh commune, Yen Binh district, Yen Bai province.
