Spring flower fairs add colour to pre-Tet atmosphere

The capital city is to host as many as 49 spring flower fairs from February 9 to 18 in the lead up to the lunar New Year Festival (Tet).

The fairs will take place in 21 urban and 44 suburban locations. Apart from the traditional annual flower markets in Hang Luoc and Lac Long Quan streets, a host of flower fairs scheduled to take place in Thanh Xuan, Cau Giay, Ha Dong, Tay Ho and Hoang Mai districts.
 


Quoc Oai district will have the largest number of such markets, with 13 reserved locations. It is followed by Soc Son and Thanh Oai districts, each with 6 locations, and Tay Ho district with 4 locations.   

Over the past few years, many flower fairs have been organized in major cities to meet people’s demands.

Meanwhile, a myriad of food and fruit specialties throughout the country will be displayed in nearly 900 pavilions of the 2015 Spring Fair slated to transpire from February 6-16 at the Giang Vo Exhibition and Fair Centre in Hanoi. 

The annual Spring Fair offers a good opportunity for trade promotion activities and satisfy the local shopping demand ahead of Tet.
