Representative of Vietnam elected as AFF deputy chairman

Tran Quoc Tuan of Vietnam was elected as Deputy Chairman of the ASEAN Football Federation (AFF) for the 2015-19 term during the federation`s 22nd congress held in Yangon, Myanmar on August 22, according to the Vietnam Football Federation (VFF).
Tuan is currently VFF Secretary General. His election is expected to help promote the prestige of Vietnam’s football in the ASEAN.
Earlier, Duong Vu Lam, head of the VFF’s Southern representative office, served as AFF Deputy Chairman for the 2011-15 term.
The 22nd congress elected Sultan Haji Ahmad Shah of Malaysia as President of the ASEAN Football Federation (AFF) for the second term, and four deputy chairmen, namely Khiev Sameth of Cambodia, Zaw Zaw of Myanmar, Sufri Bolkiah of Brunei, and Tran Quoc Tuan of Vietnam.
