The What A Wonderful World art competition aims to inspire local artists to express their passion and further their careers.

In partnership with the Vietnam University of Fine Arts, the Pan Pacific Hanoi Hotel is hosting the second annual Art Award to celebrate the achievements of young Vietnamese artists, including those with disabilities.

In addition to recognizing up-and-coming talent, the award promotes the exploration of creative and sustainable artistic practices and strengthens the bond between artists and the community," said Christoph M. Strahm, General Manager of Pan Pacific Hanoi Hotel.

"This year's challenge is to create innovative artwork that meaningfully addresses issues related to nature, the environment, society, global innovation, or community building," he said.

The competition aims to serve as a platform for the exchange of innovative ideas and impactful solutions to these pressing issues and to inspire the public to make active changes in their daily lives in response to global challenges.

The competition is open to Vietnamese artists between the ages of 18 and 30 who have completed art training at accredited institutions or universities and are currently pursuing their art careers in Hanoi. Artists with disabilities between the ages of 12 and 35 are also encouraged to apply.

Each entrant may submit a maximum of two artworks by December 31 via this registration link. Shortlisted contestants will be contacted by the organizing committee with instructions for submitting their artwork to the designated location. The Art Council will then evaluate the exhibited works to determine the award winners.

The results of the competition will be announced by phone or e-mail on February 10, 2025.

This is the second art competition organized by Pan Pacific Hanoi Hotel. The organizing committee will award one first prize, one second prize, one third prize, two highly commended prizes, and two certificates of participation for each group of participants, along with valuable gifts.

The competition's jury includes deans and vice-deans from the Vietnam University of Fine Arts, the University of Industrial Fine Arts, and the Hanoi College of Arts, as well as an arts council from Singapore.
