Origami & Application Exhibition
Tran Mau 11:15, 2017/12/01
Exhibition and workshop on the art of Origami and its application in daily life.
Originated from Japan, Origami is an art of paper folding which incorporates simple paper folding techniques to turn a rectangle or square sheet of paper (which is two dimensional) into intricate shapes (three dimensional) without cutting or gluing the paper.
Not only an art, the Origami techniques can also be applied to the creation and development of machines and equipment in life.
Come to an Origami exhibition with two parts: An area which showcases “A World of Nature” inspired by Origami, and another area that demonstrates the application of Origami in daily life. You will be surprised with the transformation of what seems to be just some regular sheets of paper!
Two workshops will be organized as part of the exhibition for audiences who wish to know more about the Japanese art of paper folding, during which they will be instructed to create basic Origami products and introduced to the meaning of applying Origami techniques to daily life.
Workshops will take place on Dec 2nd 2017, 9.30 am & 2 pm. Exhibition will be held on 02 and 03 Dec 2017, 8 am – 5 pm at Youth Cultural House, 4 Pham Ngoc Thach Street, Ben Nghe Ward, District 1.
