Nearly four thousand titles in Book Fair 2017

On March 30 afternoon, to celebrate the 4th Vietnamese Book Day, the Press, Information and Publications Department announced the activities of Book Fair 2017. The Fair will be held from April 6-10 at Thong Nhat Park with the theme "Book and Community Knowledge Development".


 
Bookshop with about 100 booths of 80 units of publishers nationwide will introduce nearly 4,000 titles of all kinds, tens of thousands of books covering a wide range of topics. Various fields, such as politics - law, economics, science and technology, reference, education, literature, culture, religion to meet the demand and tastes of many readers. According to Mr. Hoang Hai Long - Chief of the Publication, Printing and Publishing Department: "To express gratitute to readers for the last time, in the days of the book, participating units will carry out discount programs, except for the fee for each publication and other gratitude activities according to the characteristics of each unit."

During the five days of the Book Fair, there will be about 20 events organized with different themes, linking to books and reading culture. There are some key events such as: Introduction of the work "Road of the Destiny" by President Ho Chi Minh, published by National Political Publishing House - Truth; The talk "Doom for all" by journalist, poet Do Quy Doan - Former Deputy Minister of Information and Communications, organized by the Information and Communications Publishing House; Talkshow "Protecting the Sexual Safety of Children - Things Parents Need to Know", organized by Phuc Minh Investment and Trade Development Joint Stock Company, etc. In addition, at the booth area of ​​the units, there will be interesting activities, such as: gift games, experiments with baby, lucky draw, sticker and so on.

Mr. Hoang also said: "In addition to paying attention to investment, improving the quality and content of the Book Association, the Organization Board also paid attention to the form in order to attract readers to the Association. The stalls are staged according to the space home or stand standard, decorated and designed with a high aesthetic, but still ensure harmony and compliance with the overall standard. In addition, from the main axis of Thong Nhat Park, leading to the stage organizing the Opening Ceremony, the Organizing Board arranged the model, the symbol, to introduce the activities at the Book Association and promote the image, the effect of participating units."
