National Tourism Year to connect world heritages
The National Tourism Year 2015, themed ‘Connect world heritage sites’, is set to begin in March 2015 in the central province of Thanh Hoa with numerous unique activities. The information was released at a press briefing in Hanoi.
The event will help link Vietnam’s localities and other countries with World Heritage Sites.

Throughout the year, Thanh Hoa province will also organise different activities to attract more visitors and investors including a celebration of the 50th anniversary of the Ham Rong victory, Japanese cultural days in Vietnam, a sea tourism week, a gastronomy festival, art exhibitions, as well as other festivals and national and international sports competitions.
A wide variety of cultural, sports and tourism events will also be held in 15 other provinces and cities with world heritages: Hanoi, Quang Ninh, Bac Ninh, Phu Tho, Ninh Binh, Nghe An, Ha Tinh, Thua Thien – Hue and Ho Chi Minh City.
The National Tourism Year 2015 will contribute to introducing and promoting tangible and intangible cultural values and renowned natural landscapes to domestic and international visitors.
The programme will offer a good opportunity for Vietnam to widen its co-operation with foreign countries, boost national integration and development, and raise its position in the region and world.
